You are not Alone!

There is someone I want you to meet…

By: Sarah Fox

I want to introduce you to a friend of mine. He’s the most loyal, kind, faithful, and merciful friend that anyone could ever have. I am beyond blessed to have a friend as dear as him. Before I officially let you two meet, here are some things that he wants you to know:

You can come to him about anything.

The best quality that my friend has is that you can tell him about anything. As I was getting to know him, there were a lot of things that I bottled up inside my heart. I was afraid to tell him all my deepest, darkest secrets. As I decided to open up to him about my past hurts, I felt as if a huge load was lifted off my shoulders. When I first met him, he didn’t force me to come, he invited me to come. He told me that I could exchange my brokenness for his healing, my grief for his joy, my mourning for his dancing, and my sickness for his health. When my life was in chaos, he gave me rest.

He’s always available.

Did you ever have that moment in which you felt like everyone was always busy? I have those moments where I want to talk to a friend, but I have to wait until they are free to talk. Well, with my friend, he is never too busy to talk to you. In fact, my friend is always ready to hear what I have to say. He is willing to hear all your requests, questions, moments of doubt, moments of victory, moments of sadness, moments of joy, and moments of weakness. He is always available for your every need. You don’t need to wait for an opening. He is ready to talk to you.

He’s loyal.

There were a few times in my life where I was betrayed by people who I thought were my close friends. I think you know the feeling. There were people who swore that they would never leave your side and when you really needed them, they were no where to be found. Does that sound familiar? My friend says that he has come to put an end to that streak of betrayal. To be honest, when I first met him, I was afraid that he would leave me just like the people in my past, but he told me that he would never leave me nor abandon me.  He told me that he takes friendship very seriously and that he wants to be a brother to me.  I can tell you, he has been more than a brother to me. He proves to me everyday that he is all I need.

He understands.

We’ve all felt misunderstood at some point in our lives. I’m sure that there were moments where you wished that someone would understand your pain. Well look no further! My friend understands everything about you, even the things that you don’t want to mention. My friend understands your every weakness and he desires to be your rock, your shoulder to cry on, and your strength when you feel weary. He understands everything that you are going through and he will never judge anything about you.

He’s eager to meet you.

Now that you know a little about my friend, why don’t you invite him in? He’s standing at the door of your heart and he is waiting for you to let him in. He wants to sit with you, eat with you, and chat with you. He wants to take you to his home and prepare a place for you to stay.  All you have to do is believe that he loves you and that he died for you to be with him.  I think you already know who I’m talking about. That’s right, my friend is Jesus Christ and he wants to be your friend too.

Do you want to be friends with Jesus today?

Here is a beautiful song by Kari Jobe that will definitely bless your heart.
